My lesson at the University of Washington

My lesson at the University of Washington

The University of Washington invited me in Rome to talk in front of the young students as a model of innovation in Italy. It was an incredible experience, both for me and for the students. I had the possibility to confront myself with motivated and talented people, the so-called millennials.

I have told them about my life and work experience. My story is all about passion, the fuel that moves the world. Without passion, there is no creativity; without creativity, there is no innovation and without innovation, there is no change or life. The world is in need of passionate and enthusiastic people. The passion can turn an ordinary person into a leader. With the power of passion, we can get people involved in what we do.

The story of my company is a demonstration of this power. Thanks to the passion, I set up a small enterprise and turn it into the leading Italian company in the sector of vouchers, payment systems and loyalty programs.

You can suffer the change or take control of it, as a captain. Without change, there is no adventure and life becomes only a sequence of tedious and boring days. We should be the main character of our life rather than an ordinary spectator. The innovation and the passion can launch the company towards the future. This is why I have invested 20 million of euro in research and innovation in the last 7 years.

I hope that my speech will inspire and motivate the young students to do all their best to make things happen.
